Request granted

Hi everyone!

We hear ya – slack on the photos.  We take more than a bus load of Japanese tourists (no offence to any Japanese tourists) but just lack the time it takes to upload etc!  Life is busy with the little man.  Nothing can prepare you for the all-cosuming effort it requires each and every day.  So worth it though!

Briefly – we have reflux and wind problems (poor bubba).  We have just been to the Osteopath for our second appointment this morning.  Hopefully a combo of that and some natural type remedies will solve it as we don’t want to go down the medication route.  But if we have to, we have to.  It’s heartbreaking to see him cry or gulp in pain and we can’t do much to help.  Despite this he is still a good baby and when not afflicted or in pain is generally quite placid and happy just sitting back and chilling.

We had a rough patch where he lost weight (200g in 6 days).  Then put on, then lost again, then stayed the same, then put on again.  Our midwife is here again today so we are hoping for two weight gains in a row.  We know it’s all related to the reflux now it seems and though the tongue tie procedure helped a little it wasn’t the main issue.  Birth story still in progress.  I am as interested as you all to see my better half’s take on it.  LOL.  To sum up for me … it sucked.  But who cares now when we have this little man?  BTW Elmo was on the mat first and then we put T down – week one and three he adopted similar positions with no help from us and it made us laugh.  Week two we may have had something to do with … ONE MONTH OLD TOMORROW!!

One week - we dance like the Irish ...

Two weeks - Snuggles with Elmo

Three weeks - this is how we kick it

Well hello there

Super cool little man indeed

Yay pics! How is he almost one month old? Crap, time flies even with other people’s kids! Beautiful Beau ladies. Sorry with the issues. Does he sleep better in a swing or boppy? Chunk had horrible reflux and we did end up with meds for awhile but him sleeping more upright helped a ton. Good luck.

Yeah we have a hammock that he sleeps in during the day and at night we have his bassinet elevated at the head end. It’s so hard because he has wind and so you try to burp him but then too much movement after feed triggers the reflux so its a damned if you do and damned if you don’t type situation. When did chunk grow out of the reflux?

    Yay, pictures!! He’s so precious.

I hope that the reflux is resolved soon. Owen slept in his bouncer for four months! (Probably a lot longer than necessary…)

  3. omg, those elmo pictures are great! 🙂

He’s beautiful! Can’t believe it’s been a month! Reflux meds are gentle- we needed to use zantac for 4-5 months until our guy grew out of it. It was life-changing…like he turned into a different and better-sleeping baby.

  5. Squeeeee!!! These are darling. I love the Elmo poses.

OMFG! Only pictures this could could make me exclaim omfg like I’m a gay 14 year old boy. That kid is so, so cute. I love that you have the Elmo posed with him too. Please promise that you’ll continue to do that for the rest of his life. Really. I want Elmo in his graduation photos.
