Life in Colour

I decided for the month of March I’d try to do a photo a day project. I failed on the first day, but K likes photo posts so here’s some other shots (mostly) from this past week:

First off – this is what we’re greeted with every single day when we get home from work. The balls are hard to see in this pic, but Tai gathers up as many as she can find and lines them up for us as soon as we get out of the car. Her cuteness makes even the roughest of days bearable!

This is our vege garden before all of our hard work:

And this is after – it’s a bit wind-bashed and the zucchini has taken over everything but it’s nearly ready for harvesting:

We’re lucky to have lots of fruit trees, and our neighbours have a grape vine which seems to mostly be on our side of the fence – these are nearly ready to be picked too yum!

Unfortunately the birds mostly seem to get to our fruit before we do but:

To keep the dog off the garden, we have some lovely bright orange fencing. This is Zoom loving on it in the hopes that we’ll let her in:

Mid-week  we took Tai down to the park where she did lots of chasing and jumping:

This weekend we babysat for K’s 5 nieces and nephews and took them to the zoo. They thought it was because the youngest had never been before, they never guessed it was secretly for us lol

A few of the animals we saw were a baby baboon:

The lions:

The meerkats:

After walking around in the hot sun kid-wrangling all day (including a random lost 3 year old boy who was beside himself absolutely screaming his head off and running around in circles who EVERYONE was ignoring until K picked him up and took him to the office until his parents showed up) we are  buggered.

So today is a lazy day, hanging out on the couch with my boy:

This week is going to be another busy one, we’re through with planning busy weekends for a while though so hopefully we’ll get to relax this weekend – who knows, it could happen!

Oh, your garden is so gorgeous. I can’t wait to get ours started – just a little longer and it will be warm enough. The pics are so great, its like a little taste of summer to get me throught the last of the cold weather.

My dog is a total ball freak too!

I’m so jealous of your garden! And the neighbors with the grapes too. Good for you, helping out the little boy who was lost at the zoo. I can’t believe everyone else ignored him. It just goes to show, you’ll be amazing parents.
