8dpo and K had her first blood test today as her period may be due this weekend, as expected it was negative (the nurse said the hcg level was less than 1). We test again next Thursday assuming there’s no period yet.
She has been feeling a bit crampy the last day or so and is pretty sure her period’s on the way so we’re not expecting much.
To be honest we’ve both been pretty blase about it so far this month, the wait has not been hard at all and I don’t think either of us have thinking about it too much at all.
We were off to Auckland this weekend for a mini-reunion with some school friends of mine that I haven’t seen in 10+ years but that’s been put off so it’s a weekend at home and writing school reports for K – lots of fun!
With any luck we’ll fit in dinner and a movie somewhere and get a chance to relax a bit.
