waiting for the phone to ring

We’re still waiting to hear whether we get a chance for a 2nd IUI today, K had the bloods done a couple of hours ago and times going slow. lol and this is only the first day of the tww!

We drove up to Auckland last night and got there about 5pm so was a pretty rushed trip as we had to (got to) go shopping first for outfits for both our new niece and nephew that we’re meeting this week, but we ended up having a fantastic time.

First off we got lots of newborn baby cuddles and snuggles with our 5 day old niece which reminded us how much we really do want this. Not that we needed reminding but it was very nice all the same.

Then we went to K’s parents for dinner, her other sister and her husband and 9 year old son were there as well which was cool. It was just such a fun night, everyone was being silly – mostly K and her sister and we were all in hysterics several times. Including poor nephew who whacked his head pretty hard on the window sill when he was laughing too hard and then was crying at the same time and just about hyperventilated because he didn’t know which to do – laugh or cry.

We ended up getting home about 10pm and were very relaxed and happy so that’s gotta help.

Now if only the phone would ring and tell us that yes, they would be happy to inseminate us twice this cycle…

EDIT: I knew it was a good idea to write this post – less than 2 mins after I saved this, the phone rang and yes we are good to go again this afternoon. The level this morning was 49, so we are on for 2pm, and BD is going a long distance pep talk to his ‘boys’ to wake up and swim quickly.

Fingers crossed that a double insem on Mother’s Day weekend is a very good sign..
